Overview
GoHenry is a bank account designed around parents and their children. There’s an online account for parents, linked to an account for each child. Everything is managed on the GoHenry app or a GoHenry online account. Children have their own login details so they can learn to manage their money, and parents have visibility and control, setting up allowances and limits for their children. GoHenry’s aim is to help kids and teens learn about money in a practical, fun way and provide tools to help parents nurture healthy financial habits in their children. I spent 3 years working on various projects with the Product Team, including illustration style development, app design, comms and marketing and creating in-app animated educational video content.
App Design
Illustration, design and animation work for the Parent, Child and Teen versions of the GoHenry app.
Educational in-app video content
We partnered with production company Nomint and directed their teams of animators at Post Office Studios to create a series of “Mini Missions” - bite sized (1-2 minute) in-app financial lessons for kids. The lessons sit within a Whatsapp style chat framework and after watching, kids are quizzed about the lesson to earn points and badges as they learn.

Pre Production
The scripts were developed to meet learning objectives within national curriculum frameworks. We needed to keep full control of the tone, messaging and learning outcomes, so the scriptwriting, storyboarding and illustration were all kept in-house.
Once completed, the scripts, storyboards and style frames were packaged up and sent to Nomint and their animation teams at Post Office Studios.
I was responsible for managing our in-house production team and directing the animation teams at Post Office Studios.
